There’s nothing better than enjoying a drink on a patio with your dog by your side! Let’s take a look at 12 dog friendly patios to try in Toronto this summer.

1. Against the Grain

Against the Grain is right next to Sugar Beach in downtown Toronto. Your dog can be tied up right next to the patio while you enjoy some drinks by the beautiful waterfront! They are famous for their canine approved Paw-Tio menu items - from homemade dog biscuits, puppacinos and pupsicles.

2. Black Lab Brewing

This pet friendly brewery encourages you to bring your furry friend along while you enjoy a cold craft beer. I first learned about Black Dog Brewing after seeing a flyer at a coffee shop mentioning a dog party they were hosting.

Of course, I ended up going with my dog and enjoyed some of the best beer I’ve had while getting to spend time with so many adorable dogs

3. Hunters Landing

Hunters Landing is right across from Canoe Landing Park in downtown Toronto. It’s a popular bar/restaurant with an outdoor patio that allows you to bring your dog to the table.

Warning – if you bring your dog to Hunters Landing, you might get some extra attention from passerby’s, especially if your pup is wearing a cute dog bandana from Doggos!

 4. Bandit Brewery

Bandit Brewery can be found in Roncesvalles. There’s a huge seating area with picnic tables and while you can’t bring your pooch to sit at the picnic tables, they can sit on the other side of the fence.

Ask your server for a dog bowl if your dog gets a little thirsty!

 5. Local Public Eatery

Found in Leaside as well as Liberty Village, Local Public Eatery will be your staple dog friendly patio this summer.

Your doggo can be tied up next to you on the large patio while you enjoy some of their appetizers and drinks on a Saturday afternoon.

6. Blood Brothers Brewing

Blood Brothers Brewing is the perfect place to head for a beer after enjoying a day at Christie Pitts Park.

Your pup can sit tied up on the other side of the patio. Don’t forget to wear your happy hour matching set with your dog for the ultimate patio outing!

 7. Hair of the Dog Pub

The name says it all! This pub is right near the Allan Gardens dog park so it’s a great place to stop by when you’re finished at the park.

Enjoy classic pub food and beer on the patio with your dog by your side.

8. Last Temptation

Head over to Kensington Market for this cute patio. Your dog is welcome to sit tied up next to your table so you can keep an eye on him or her. Explore the shops in Kensington Market when you’re ready to make moves.

Before you head out to try these dog friendly patios, don’t forget to bring your Doggos face mask with you as you'll need it when you enter each restaurant!

 9. RendezViews

If you’re looking for a place right in the downtown core, you can’t miss RendezViews! It’s a parking lot turned outdoor patio presented by The Fifth Social Club and The Ballroom and can be found on Richmond St. W.

This dog friendly patio is not only a bright and colourful space to enjoy a few drinks outside this summer but it’s also an awesome spot to bring your pup! Come to cheer on your fave sports team, watch the Olympics or simply enjoy a CN Tower view.

10. Lapinou Bistro

Change up your usual dinner out at this French-inspired neo-bistro in the heart of the city on King St. W. Their patio is over seven days a week and is more than accommodating when it comes to bringing your doggo with you!

Be sure to check out their weekend brunch from 10:30 am to 3 pm, offering up the perfect opportunity to rock a Brunchin’ bandana

11. Stackt

Toronto’s very own shipping container market has one of the best dog friendly patios to check out this summer! With other 20 local and small businesses, including Belgian Moon Brewery, the terrace with Cointreau Garden and the pavilion serving food from Momofuku Noodle Bar it makes for a great Friday night spot.

Grab a seat outside with your dog and enjoy the fairy lights and market vibes!

12. Lobster Burger Bar

Craving seafood? Lobster Burger Bar brings you the best lobster from the East Coast of Canada each week!

While their food is amazing, they also do an excellent job of catering to all the dog parents who want to bring their dog along. They’ve partnered with PuppyGang to provide you with a dog menu with fresh dog food so your dog doesn’t have to feel left out when you’re enjoying your meal.

  • I agree with Christine. Sounds like a great scheme to market dog friendly patios, only later to find out that’s not accurate. Ridiculous!

  • I don’t understand how you can state that a patio is dog friendly but you can only tie them outside the patio.

  • Bandit no longer allows dogs on the patio :(

I bought the walk in the park bandana and matching scrunchie! The print is beautiful and the quality is amazing. I love that the bandana has snaps to help it stay on my pup!

I love that Doggos connects dog parents around Canada. I went to their last meet up in Toronto and I had as much fun as my dog!
