Dog Friendly Trips to Take in Canada

As the weather warms up throughout the country, there’s no better time to get out and start exploring Canada – with your doggos in hand, of course! Let’s get into the best dog friendly trips throughout Canada.

Ottawa, Ontario

Ottawa is a just a few hour drive from Toronto and home to many green spaces, as well as the Bruce Pit Dog Park which is a 3.2 km loop and a fun trail for all skill levels. While you’re in Ottawa, check out Parliament Hill and walk along the Rideau Canal, sporting your dog mom necklace. It’s sure to make all the other dog moms jealous!

Tofino, BC

Tofino is a beautiful and charming beach town on Vancouver Island. You’ll find many dog friendly trails, stunning beaches (Chesterman’s and MacKenzie) and waterfalls as well. Don’t forget, you can also explore the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve as long as your doggo is on a leash.

Capilano Suspension Bridge, Vancouver

Vancouver is known to be one of the most best cities for dog lovers. With many widespread parks and hiking opportunities, you can’t go wrong! You can also head over to the Capilano Suspension Bridge where you can bring your pup (on a leash) across the bridge sitting 230 feet above the Capilano River. The views are amazing!

Wine tasting at Prince Edward County, Ontario

You can have your cake and eat it too at many wineries in Prince Edward County! This may be one of the best dog friendly trips you can take this summer. While you can’t usually bring your dogs along for a wine tasting, Prince Edward County has a surprising number of wineries that are dog-friendly. A couple wineries that are happy to accommodate dogs in their winery include  Gravel Hill Vineyards, Karlo Estates, and Huff Estates Winery & Inn (they even allow dogs in their hotel rooms).

Grab your dog a bandana for his or her special outing and you’ll be good to go.

Hiking in Canmore, Alberta

Enjoy the beautiful Canadian Rockies with your doggo! While Banff National Park doesn’t have a wide selection of off-leash trails, Canmore is riddled with options and it’s far less busy. Wear one of our matching sets for an insta-worthy shot atop a mountain!

Are you ready to embark on these dog friendly trips over the summer?
