If you’re a dog owner in the West side of Toronto or in Etobicoke, you may want to avoid taking your dog out on the grass near Bloor Street West and Dundas St. W for the next several weeks.

Several dogs were reported to have fallen ill after walking on the grass in the Summerland Terrance area of Etobicoke since Tuesday night.

Toronto police were investigating and warning pet owners after a person was seen spreading suspected chemicals on the grass in the Summerland Terrance and Dundas Street West area of Etobicoke on Tuesday night (July 27, 2022).

Authorities were called into the area at around 4:33 PM last night and have continued investigating the area this morning.

Animal Services have been notified and police say the investigation is ongoing. No suspect description has been provided at the time.
