6 Dog Friendly Fall Activities in Ontario

6 Dog Friendly Fall Activities in Ontario

The leaves are starting to change colour which means that fall is near! If you love this season as much as we do, buckle up because there are plenty of dog friendly fall activities coming your way.

1. Hike the Centennial Ridges Trail (Algonquin)

If you’re up for an adventure, take a drive out to Algonquin Park for a 9.8 km loop with amazing views of the leaves changing colour! Best of all, you can bring your pup with you (as long as they're on a leash) to take part in the festivities.

Don’t forget to throw on a dog bandana to match the aesthetic!

2. Ontario Doggos Singles Mingle

If you happen to be single during this fall season, then we have the perfect event for you! We are hosting our very own singles social at a dog friendly brewery on September 23rd. Tickets include entrance to the event, a craft beer of your choice, and a doggie bag filled with goodies from local businesses.

Grab your tickets ASAP before we sell out!

3. Hallowoof at Pingles Farm

You can’t forget to dress up your doggo for Halloween! Pingles Farm offers a unique experience called ‘Hallowoof’ on October 30th where you can hop on a wagon ride, explore a corn maze and choose a pumpkin from the patch.

4. Apple Orchards and Pumpkin Patches

Apple orchards and pumpkin patches are classic dog friendly fall activities but we can never get enough. Here are a few of our faves around Toronto:

You can’t go wrong with this activity and you may even get some cute Insta pics as well! Make sure you’re wearing your dog mom necklace or matching set to bring the look together.

5. Local Scenic Walks/Hikes

Fall walks are the best and there are plenty of options, especially near Hamilton and Niagara. Rattlesnake Point has a unique lookout and views from the Buffalo Crag Lookout Point. You’ll have to book a slot ahead of time for $9.50 +HST

Dundas Peak offers a spectacular lookout when the leaves have changed colour but be warned that it gets busy! I’d suggest going in the middle of the week if you can and check out this guide for important information regarding booking, parking and more before heading over.

6. Jump Into a Pile of Leaves

This activity will bring you right back to childhood but sometimes the simplest activities can be the best! If you’re raking up some leaves, use it as an opportunity to let your pup play around and have some fun before you toss them.

What activity are you going to try out first? Let us know over on Instagram and stay up to date with our blog each week for everything dog related!

Lots of love,

Francesca & Hershey
